Verisk Acquires SAP’s Content as a Service Business and Partners with SAP

Today marks a significant milestone in the growth and evolution of Verisk 3E™. We have entered into a strategic partnership with SAP® to reimagine product compliance. Moments ago we signed a definitive agreement to acquire SAP’s Content as a Service (CaaS) business, which includes the Environmental Health and Safety Regulatory Content (ERC) and Environmental Health and Safety Regulatory Documentation (ERD) teams and data assets. As part of the agreement, we have also formalized a partnership to embed Verisk 3E’s content into SAP’s product compliance platforms. The official announcement can be viewed here.

SAP’s CaaS business will become part of Verisk 3E, strengthening our position as the premier provider of integrated regulatory content, expertise and services for the EHS industry. Through our long-term strategic partnership, Verisk 3E and SAP will codevelop the product compliance solutions of the future.

What does this acquisition and partnership mean for clients?

The acquisition and co-development agreement allows two industry leading organizations to optimize their respective portfolios and deliver a best-of-breed solution for customers. It expands the scope of our proven data assets, expertise and services and makes them widely available to customers.

What does it mean for the SAP user community?

Verisk 3E is now the premier provider of integrated content for SAP’s product compliance solutions. We have a longstanding and proven track record of providing SAP customers with the integrated content, solutions and expertise they need to optimize their SAP platform. As we integrate SAP’s ERC and ERD solutions with the Verisk 3E centers of excellence, we will extend our robust SAP portfolio to include an unmatched integrated content solution for the SAP user community.

The combined business expands Verisk 3E’s ability to deliver innovative solutions required to power SAP’s Product Compliance platforms, including SAP S/4HANA.

Our unrivaled content and expertise will be further augmented by our Software Development Cooperation Agreement with SAP, which offers a strong framework for us to deliver regulatory content and business logic into the S/4HANA solution. We will codevelop next generation compliance solutions and embed our content into in all releases of S/4HANA.
