The SCIP database contains information about Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) found in articles, whether as standalone items or within complex objects (such as products). This database was established under the EU Waste Framework Directive (WFD) with the goal that the information on articles containing Candidate List substances is available throughout the whole lifecycle of products
