Microplastics in North America in 2026: Research Advances, Regulation Struggles to Keep Pace

Microplastics in North America in 2026: Research Advances, Regulation Struggles to Keep Pace

Background

Supreme Chemicals' Krud Kutter® brand products are used by major industrial applicators (Ford, General Motors, Boeing), schools, hospitals, hotels, theme parks (Disney, Six Flags), cruise lines (Royal Caribbean, Carnival), numerous contractors and end users nationwide. Their products are sold throughout 15,000 retail outlets, including leading home centers, hardware stores, paint stores, drug stores, food stores, mass merchandisers, and warehouse clubs.

The Company has been serving the needs of businesses and people for over 25 years. It is extremely committed to environmental issues, and all Krud Kutter products are water-based, biodegradable, non-toxic and VOC compliant.

Challenges

Manufacturers are increasingly facing challenges related to changing regulatory initiatives. These regulatory changes can directly affect a company’s ability to produce accurate and compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), labels and hazard communication documents for their products. No one knows this better than Supreme Chemicals of Georgia, whose Krud Kutter products are distributed in thousands of retail outlets around the United States.

Allison Grabiak, an Operations Manager with the company, is responsible for ensuring that the SDSs for all Krud Kutter products are effective, compliant, and up-to-date. “Authoring SDSs can be quite a challenge,” said Ms. Grabiak, “Especially when you consider that there are more than thirty products in the Krud Kutter line.”

In the past, Supreme Chemicals of Georgia tasked an independent consultant with authoring their SDSs. Early on in the relationship, Ms. Grabiak realized that the consultant was producing incorrect SDSs riddled with inaccurate information.

Solutions

Ms. Grabiak turned to 3E to re-author all of Supreme Chemicals' SDSs.

“I chose 3E because of their excellent reputation for producing high-quality, globally compliant Hazard Communication documents,” said Ms. Grabiak. “We have been using their authoring service for several years now and we have been very pleased with the results. The team at 3E is very professional, helpful and knowledgeable, and we trust their work completely.”

3E leverages its best-in-class regulatory data to ensure that Supreme Chemicals' SDSs are up-to-date and accurate. The breadth of countries covered and depth of regulatory information provided by this data offers unprecedented support for identifying, monitoring and complying with ever changing EHS requirements. The massive aggregation of regulatory content is refined and maintained by 3E’s own team, who has direct relationships with regulatory bodies across the globe.

Ms. Grabiak is also pleased to note that 3E has gone above and beyond their defined scope of work in several instances. “We have had several shipping questions that weren't directly related to our work with 3E, but your team tracked down the answers for us anyway – and in the same timely, friendly fashion that I've come to expect!” said Ms. Grabiak.

Results

Ms. Grabiak has noticed several benefits since she began outsourcing SDS authoring to 3E, including more accurate SDSs and increased productivity.

“Everyone at 3E is so knowledgeable and helpful,” said Ms. Grabiak. “Working with 3E really does give me peace of mind. The documents that 3E produces reflect their professionalism and their expertise has been proven time and time again. Thanks to 3E, we are now able to provide our distributors and users with top-notch hazard communication information. I would recommend 3E to any company that's currently searching for an SDS authoring service.”
